Is washing curtains at home really that risky?
More than it seems. The biggest problem is shrinkage - some fabrics can pull in by 15-20 cm, leaving a net curtain that barely reaches half the window. Voiles, tulles and organzas don't survive a spin in the drum either: holes, snags, ruined embroidery. And years of dust in hot water turns to mud that smears across the whole fabric. We dry-vacuum curtains first, then match the programme to the material.
How much does curtain and net washing cost?
Prices start from 12 PLN/m². We charge per square metre of fabric, because no two curtains are equal - a light net is one thing, a heavy lined blackout is another. The price also depends on the material and how soiled it is. We give you a concrete figure after inspecting the fabric, and you'll find the full list in the pricing section. And yes - we speak English, so it's easy to arrange.
How do you measure the metres - what sets the price?
We measure the fabric area: width times height of the curtain, in square metres. That's why two curtains from the same window can cost differently - a thick, gathered blackout holds more material than an airy net. The rate per metre depends on the fabric type. At drop-off we measure and tell you the amount right away, so there are no surprises at pickup.
Will you pick curtains up from my home?
Yes, we offer pickup and delivery across Lublin. Heavy, large curtains are a real hassle - you have to take them down, pack them, bring them over, then collect and rehang them. We can take part of that off your hands, which people without a car and seniors especially appreciate. Just call and book a time - we'll handle the rest.
How long does curtain washing take?
Standard turnaround is 48 hours. We understand bare windows don't look good and nobody wants to wait weeks - so we hold to the deadline we give you. For larger orders or exceptionally delicate fabrics it can take a little longer; if so, we tell you at drop-off, not at pickup.
I have expensive organza curtains. Won't you ruin them?
That's exactly why it's worth handing them to someone who knows the difference between voile and jacquard. We start by assessing the fabric and condition, wash delicate materials on a gentle programme and dry them in controlled conditions, not on a balcony. And if something does go wrong through our fault, we take responsibility - we won't send you off with excuses.
