Your workwear is your professional image
In a restaurant kitchen, at a hair salon, in a beauty studio, in a workshop — your workwear protects your clothes but takes everything on itself. Grease, dyes, food colouring, cooking odours. After a week of intense work, even the best apron or uniform needs professional washing.
Home washing cannot handle restaurant grease or hairdresser dyes. High temperatures can shrink an apron, and harsh detergents destroy colour and company logos. For restaurants, cafés and salons we run regular, scheduled pickups of workwear batches — individual quotes for businesses.
Why home washing is not enough
Stain setting
Kitchen grease, food dyes, and hair dyes penetrate deep into fabrics. Washing at the wrong temperature sets these stains instead of removing them — grease polymerizes and dye bonds permanently with fibres.
Apron shrinkage
Cotton aprons shrink in hot water, losing their fit. An apron that fit perfectly can become too short and too narrow after washing at 60°C — and an ill-fitting apron does not protect the clothes underneath.
Colour loss
Harsh detergents and bleach destroy fabric dyes. Black aprons turn grey, white ones yellow, and colourful company logos fade. The result: an apron that looks worn out even though it is still new.
At Gorące Żelazko laundry, every piece of workwear goes through a 6-step process with dedicated grease removal, sanitisation at the right temperature, and shrink-free drying. We wash aprons, uniforms and branded clothing — chef, waiter, hairdresser and industrial. We serve restaurants and salons on a regular basis.
6 steps to a perfectly clean apron
Every apron goes through an individual process — from stain identification to quality control.
Stain and fabric identification

We check the material type and soiling type — kitchen grease requires different methods than hairdresser dyes or chemical stains. Based on this, we select the temperature, detergent, and stain removal technique.

Spot stain removal

We remove grease with emulsifying agents, food dyes with enzymes, hair dyes with specialist solvents. Every stain is treated individually before the apron goes into the wash.

Professional washing

The apron goes into a professional machine with precise temperature control. White aprons are washed at 60°C with sanitisation. Coloured ones at lower temperatures with colour protection. Always with professional detergent.

Pressing and finishing

We press the apron on a professional press, restoring smoothness and a neat appearance. White aprons get spotless whiteness, coloured ones get vibrant colours. Ready to wear for the next shift.

What our clients say
Google Maps reviews from clients who entrusted us with their aprons.
"I run a restaurant and chef aprons are my daily reality. Grill grease, sauces, curry — home washing could not handle it. At Gorące Żelazko my aprons come back white as new, no kitchen smell. I drop off 15 a week."
"Hair dyes are a nightmare for aprons. I tried everything — baking soda, vinegar, stain remover. Nothing worked as well as professional washing. Now I drop off regularly and do not have to buy a new apron every month."
Frequently asked questions about workwear washing
The questions we hear most from chefs, hairdressers and venue owners - about stains, price, hygiene and regular business service.
Can I wash a greasy apron at home?
You can try, but kitchen grease isn't an ordinary stain. A home machine rarely gets hot enough to dissolve it - instead of lifting out, the grease sets and polymerizes into the fibres. On top of that, a cotton apron loves to shrink at 60°C. We pre-treat grease spots with emulsifying agents before the apron ever goes in the wash. The result: clean, no kitchen smell, no shrinkage.
How much does apron washing cost?
Apron washing starts from 20 PLN per piece. The final price depends on the material and how soiled it is - a lightly marked waiter's apron is one thing, a workshop overall after a full week is another. For restaurants, cafés and salons dropping off batches, we prepare an individual quote. You'll find the full workwear price list in the pricing section.
How fast will my workwear be ready?
Standard turnaround is 48 hours. Need a clean apron for tomorrow's shift? We have 24h express. We also offer pickup and delivery across Lublin, so you don't have to break your workday driving over twice. We give you the deadline when you drop off and we stick to it - in food service the schedule doesn't wait.
Do you serve restaurants and salons on a regular basis?
Yes. For restaurants, cafés, hotels and salons we run scheduled pickups of workwear batches - chef and waiter aprons, uniforms, branded outfits. We set a regular collection rhythm around your business and prepare an individual quote for the company. And yes - we speak English, so arranging it is simple. One head chef drops off a dozen-plus aprons a week and no longer thinks about it.
Are food-service aprons sanitised?
Yes. Food-service aprons need to be genuinely hygienic, not just look clean. White aprons are washed hot with thermal sanitisation; coloured ones at a lower temperature, with colour protection and chemical sanitisation matched to your industry's hygiene requirements. So the apron comes back truly refreshed and safe for food work - not just clean to the eye.
Can you remove hair dye or food colouring from an apron?
Usually yes. We treat hairdresser dyes and food colourings separately before the apron hits the drum - dyes with specialist solvents, colourings with enzymes. But let's be honest: a stain that's been sitting in the fabric for months, or was set earlier by a hot home wash, won't always come out completely. We'll always tell you honestly what to expect before we start.
