Coat cleaning in Lublin: it'll survive more than one winter

Cleaning a wool, cashmere or trench coat starts from 70 PLN. The final price depends on the material, length and level of soiling - a longer lined coat with stains takes more work. A down coat is a separate line in our price list, priced differently. We give the exact figure once we've seen it, with no surprises at pickup.

We'd advise against it. Wool shrinks by two or three sizes in hot water, and hard spinning turns it into felt - neither can be undone. Cashmere is even more fragile. If you must wash at home, use a wool programme, cold water and dry flat. On a coat worth several hundred zloty, the risk usually isn't worth it.

Cashmere can't take high heat, friction or strong detergents. We clean it with wet cleaning - in water at a controlled temperature, with mild neutral-pH agents and almost no spinning. Then we dry it in shape and refresh it with steam. The result: a soft coat with no matting, its structure and colour intact. No harsh chemicals involved.

That's a common manufacturer note, but rarely the only safe route. For many wools and cashmeres, wet cleaning is gentler than solvents because it doesn't dry out the fibre. We start with an inspection and a test in a hidden spot - if the fabric truly isn't water-safe, we'll tell you straight. We don't experiment on your coat blindly. Feel free to ask us in English.

Usually yes. We lift coffee, mud and grease by hand, spot by spot, before the coat goes into water - each stain gets its own treatment. Results are best when the stain is fresh and hasn't already been ironed. So with a stained coat, it's better not to wait until the end of the season.
