A mangle delivers results no iron can match. We pick up and deliver to your door. ## Bed linen washing is more than just getting it clean When you go to bed, you want to feel freshness and the smooth, cool surface of a sheet. Not a wrinkled cotton mess, but crisp fabric smelling of cleanliness. That is the kind you find in a good hotel. That is why our bed linen washing and ironing happen in one go. But here is the problem: a bed sheet measures 160 x 200 cm. To iron it by hand, you need a board, two hours, the patience of a saint, and nerves of steel. Or you could use a machine that does it in two minutes. A machine does it evenly, smoothly, effortlessly. Last updated: 6 October 2026 ## Why ironing bed linens with an iron is wasted time ### Burn marks and stains An iron in the hands of a tired person can leave a brown burn mark on a sheet that no amount of washing will remove. One moment of inattention can leave a permanent mark that ruins the look of the duvet cover, and then it's only fit to become a cleaning rag. ### Uneven results Ironing such a large piece of fabric on a small board makes it hard to get an even surface. Folds and creases usually remain, and those are exactly the spots you may feel in the evening when you lie down to sleep. ### Lost hours A bed linen set for two people includes two sheets, two duvet covers, and four pillowcases. Ironing it by hand takes two to three hours. You need a good iron, a solid board, and great willpower. A mangle does it in ten minutes. At Gorące Żelazko laundry, we use a professional mangle. It is a heated roller press with a 40 cm diameter that presses the entire width of a sheet in a single pass. No creases, no brown marks. Just smooth, crisp fabric. We will do a complete bed linen set in a few minutes, and you gain a free weekend. We also run a regular hotel linen service for guesthouses, short-stay apartments, clinics and restaurants. All linens are washed, mangled and folded on schedule. For businesses we prepare an individual quote. ## 5 steps to perfectly smooth bed linens Every piece of bed linen goes through a mangling process tailored to the fabric type and its purpose. 1. **Fabric inspection**: We check the material type: cotton, linen, blend. We also check the condition of the fabric. We identify areas requiring special attention: heavily wrinkled sections, edges, seams. We adjust the roller temperature to the specific fabric. 2. **Preparation**: Fabric before mangling must be evenly moist. Dry fabric will not take on smoothness. Overly wet fabric will stick to the roller. We sort bed linens by type and size, lightly moisten with a spray, and arrange them in the proper sequence. 3. **Mangling**: We feed the fabric onto the heated roller. Temperature reaches 180-200°C, and pressure is precisely regulated. A 40 cm diameter roller smooths the entire width of the sheet in a single pass, eliminating every fold and restoring freshness to the fabric. 4. **Folding**: Pressed bed linens leave the mangle slightly warm, perfectly smooth and fragrant. We fold them immediately. The material is still pliable. We fold them into neat, symmetrical rectangles that easily fit in your closet. 5. **Quality control**: We inspect every piece in the set. No signs of overheating, edges evenly pressed, no remaining folds. We pack the set in plastic or paper so the smoothness is preserved during transport. ## Why clients choose mangle service Traditional laundry service in Lublin. Ten beds, linen change twice a week. Before I found Gorące Żelazko, ironing took me half a day. Now I drop off bed linens for mangling and have them ready the next day. They are smooth, fragrant, like new. I save time and stress. > Ewa M., guesthouse owner, Google review: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Gor%C4%85ce+%C5%BBelazko/@51.2464281,22.5455495,17z/data=!4m8!3m7!1s0x472257b13a4444e7:0x6a3984ea2d88e0f8!8m2!3d51.2464248!4d22.5481244!9m1!1b1!16s%2Fg%2F11t_r1fh8r > I love fresh, crisp bed linens. But I hate ironing. Since I found this laundry, every two weeks I drop off sets for mangling. The lady picks them up from my home, and two days later brings them back ready. Slipping into such a sheet is pure pleasure. > Joanna K., housewife, Google review: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Gor%C4%85ce+%C5%BBelazko/@51.2464281,22.5455495,17z/data=!4m8!3m7!1s0x472257b13a4444e7:0x6a3984ea2d88e0f8!8m2!3d51.2464248!4d22.5481244!9m1!1b1!16s%2Fg%2F11t_r1fh8r ## Bed linen washing and ironing - FAQ What it costs, how a mangle differs from an iron, and how we handle guesthouses and hotels - short, straight answers. ### How much does bed linen mangling cost? We price bed linen washing and ironing by weight - from 26 PLN/kg. The final price depends on the fabric and the size of the batch: a single-bed set is one thing, a weekly guesthouse delivery another. You will find the full price list on our site, and for businesses with regular batches we prepare an individual quote. Call us and we will price your set in a minute. ### Is a mangle enough instead of ironing bed linen? For sheets, tablecloths and large flat textiles, a mangle beats an iron. The heated roller smooths the full width of a sheet in one pass - no creased edges, no risk of scorching. The result is more even, crisp and hotel-like. Keep the iron for shirts and shaped items; flat bed linen you simply mangle. ### How do I prepare bed linen for the mangle? You do not need to do anything special. If you choose washing and mangling together, you hand it over dirty and we take care of the rest. If you wash it yourself, bring it clean and we will dampen and press it. Do not iron or fold it stiffly beforehand - the fewer creases set at home, the smoother the finish. ### Do you offer a hotel linen service for businesses? Yes. We serve guesthouses, short-stay apartments, clinics and restaurants - regular batches of bed linen, towels and tablecloths. We collect them dirty and return them clean, mangled and folded, ready for the next guests. Standard turnaround is 48 hours, express 24. For steady, recurring batches we prepare an individual quote - call and describe your scale. ### What is mangling and how is it different from ironing? Mangling is pressing flat textiles on a heated roller - the mangle. The fabric passes between a hot drum and a press and comes out perfectly smooth, slightly crisp, with a subtle sheen. An iron presses spot by spot on a board; a mangle smooths the whole width at once. That is why sheets and tablecloths look hotel-fresh rather than home-pressed. ### Do you pick up and deliver bed linen in Lublin? Yes, we offer pickup and delivery across Lublin - we come for your dirty bed linen and bring it back clean, mangled and folded to your door. It is especially handy for large sets and recurring batches from guesthouses or apartments. Pickup and delivery carry an extra charge; we will confirm the details by phone when booking.
